    TASTING PROFILE

This Ethiopian washed coffee offers a complete example of the complexity found in the Yirgacheffe terroir. In this batch, we can experience all the characteristics typical of washed coffees from this region: a honeyed cup revealing delightful stone-fruit notes, complemented by subtly tart aromas reminiscent of Meyer lemon. The sweet finish transitions smoothly into a hint of fresh fig, enticing you to take another sip!

    ORIGIN

Located in the village of Worka, Yirgacheffe, the Danche project was born of an initiative by SNAP Specialty Coffee in 2019, inaugurating their new washing station near the hamlet of Chelbesa. The initiative to purchase coffee cherries exclusively from neighboring farmers became a reality when the project was completed. What's more, the addition of ceramic fermentation tanks has enabled the station to produce batches whose clarity rivals the Ethiopian standard!

    DRINKING

Danche's cup, far from modest, surprises us with its deep, sweet aromas that gain complexity with each sip's tangy undertones. From the outset, apricot tantalizes the taste buds, leading into a delightful meyer lemon sweetness, with lingering notes of fresh fig. This coffee is best savored through a filter or cold-brewed to fully appreciate its nuances.Due to its complexity, brewing this coffee as espresso presents challenges, making it suitable mainly for our seasoned clientele. Additionally, it does not pair well with cow's milk.
