    TASTING

Let yourselves be taken aback by this marvelously unique natural-processed Geisha. An honest fruit-bomb, this coffee’s gustatory experience packs quite a punch. From the very first sip, intense aromas of strawberry and raspberry invade your taste buds. So sweet, juicy and fruity, it almost tastes like candy. Slowly, a pleasant acidulous aroma emerges, reminiscent of pomegranate or a very sweet lime, and lingers on the tongue. Delicate florals lead the end of the sip, and are sure to charm you!

    ORIGIN

Franco Gomez and his brother Jose embarked on their coffee production journey merely 5 years ago. They established their farm in a small village on the outskirts of Buesaco, Nariño. Though their land ranges only 1 hectare, the Gomez brothers have planted over 3000 coffee trees so far – and all of them are of Geisha variety.

Geisha is one of the most exclusive coffee varieties on the market, and has been for many decades. Some Geisha harvests sell at auction for truly unbelievable prices. Though sometimes Geishas can be extravagantly expensive, the uniqueness of this variety can be genuinely appreciated at any price range. That’s right, it’s not necessary to go bankrupt in order to enjoy this rare coffee!

Franco and Jose Gomez’s harvests are some of the best affordable Geishas out there. Their processing technique is simple and minimalistic, but every step is done with meticulous, diligent care and attention. No one could ever guess that they have just begun their journey in the world of coffee. This year’s harvest was left to dry on covered raised beds for 20 days; since this is a natural-processed coffee, the drying process was done with the beans still inside the cherry, which results in delicious and pronounced fruity aromas !

    DRINKING

A coffee that deserves to be savored mindfully, ideal for manual infusion brews, in a Chemex or V60, to live out the full experience. Initiated and adventurous folks will enjoy a slightly acidic, very fruity and complex shot of espresso as well. In a latte or a cappuccino, it will taste like a strawberry milkshake! Surely not a coffee to bring to a typical family breakfast, but perfect for a slow weekend morning, or a meditative work break.
