Tasting notes: Dark chocolate, molasses and a rich body
The Ours noir is a great stepping stone to specialty coffees.
On the palate, this coffee has no acidity and lots of intensity. Tastes of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted sugar, molasses.
A soft bitterness is present and pleasant. Thinks of a dark chocolate 80%.
This is our darkest roast blend. We do this roast to express the flavours of roasted sugar and dark chocolate. It can be reminiscent of a fuller bodied, more developed coffee.
There is a double roast in the beans to gain complexity. We get to the second crack very quickly. So the outside and inside of the bean have two types of roast. A little bit smoky and rich on the outside, and in the center of the bean, which is less roasted, that chocolatey side.
Like all our coffees, the Ours noir is roasted without oil. So it is safe for your automatic machine or grinder.
It's THE coffee to make a latte and still taste like coffee.
