    TASTING PROFILE

    A true explosion of juicy berries! From the very first sip, you can feel the precision of a carefully controlled fermentation applied to a natural Costa Rican coffee. The rich terroir of the Central Valley shines through with a vibrant yet balanced acidity, lifted by an elegant sweetness and a floral finish reminiscent of white blossoms. Blackcurrant takes the lead with unmatched vibrancy, while the soft sweetness of raspberry syrup wraps the cup in a syrupy, luscious texture. A guaranteed favourite for anyone who loves to remind the world that coffee is, first and foremost... an exotic cherry.

    ORIGIN 

    Oscar and Francisca Chacón, third-generation coffee producers, have taken coffee far beyond a family tradition. It is a deep passion and a mission of innovation. As pioneers of honey and natural processing in Costa Rica, they helped redefine the country’s standards for quality. This lot comes from their farm, Finca Mirella, and was processed at their renowned Las Lajas mill, globally recognized for its experimental methods. The “Black Pearl” process used here involves harvesting cherries at peak ripeness, drying them first on raised beds, then moving them to indoor patios for a complete drying period of 22 to 30 days.

    BREWING

    A versatile coffee, yet undeniably fruity. As a filter brew, it shines with clarity, revealing the syrupy richness of blackcurrant and raspberry. As an espresso, it delivers an intense and textured profile where lively acidity and smooth body intertwine. In milk-based drinks, it brings to mind a bright summer smoothie, colorful, sweet, and joyful. No matter the format, this one is a fruit bomb from nose to finish.

    Result in the cup 42g in 24 sec.
